This is a picture of Villa Clara nurses receiving specialized dressings brought by tourists travelling to Varedaro Cuba.
In November 2011 and again in November 2012 Thunder Bay Nurses Karen Parker and Lori Owens travelled to Villa Clara province in Cuba
to teach clinic nurses the use of these highly specialized (and very expensive) wound dressings. The problem was that sending the dressings in containers meant they might end up anywhere and not be used properly. The answer to that problem: send them with tourists to drop off in Varedaro where Dr Aurora picks them up and delivers them to the nurses that have been trained.
The use of these dressings speeds up healing remarkably and reduces suffering significantly. You can be part of this miracle if you are going to Varedaro by calling Jerome at 807 346 8170
